2023 Audi Q4 E-Tron Specifications

The latest version of the Audi Q4 e-tron has upped its game compared to other SUVs that have joined the market since Audi was first introduced. In order to stay competitive, the 2023 model will have increased previous year’s somewhat disappointing estimate range of 241 miles. Although exact numbers haven’t been released yet, Audi has received a great deal of feedback about the issues, and it has been cited as one of the major “minuses” of owning the 2022 edition.

The twin-engine Q4 e-tron uses an updated EV version of the brand’s quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi uses this system, which it bragged as “the first permanent all-wheel drive system for a passenger car” thirty-five years ago. The self-locking center differential distributes torque evenly to whichever axle has the most traction and acts as a proactive system to monitor conditions to determine the most optimal distribution.

Although a single-motor, rear-wheel drive version is available, most buyers will likely opt for the dual-motor version. The single-engine Q4 is capable of producing 201 hp and 229 lb-ft of torque with a higher estimated range. However, the dual-motor all-wheel drive has increased output with 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The twin-engine version can also accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds.

Features and technology of the new Q4 E-Tron

The 2023 Q4 is being marketed with a faster charging speed, which will benefit models with larger battery packs (82 kWh). The new year will see an increased capacity of 135 kilowatts of power which equates to charging time from five percent to eighty percent from just 29 to 38 minutes for the “40” and 36 to 38 minutes on the “50”, quattro and Sportback models.

Improved software that manages thermal and battery control systems makes this increased capacity possible. Other additional technology upgrades have also been added to the Q4 that increase desirability. Audi now connects with built-in Amazon Alexa to allow drivers to use voice commands to control smart devices from their car.

In addition, the 2023 Q4 will introduce the free myAudi app that includes new features such as a route planner that can be sent to the vehicle from the app and shows where charging stations are located along the route, planning for those stops based on traffic flow, a history of individual vehicle energy consumption and other information in the actual time. Moreover, the application monitors the charging at the station and informs the driver when the required charge level is reached.

Although the final production model for 2023 hasn’t been finalized or revealed, previous year’s models of the Q4 e-tron saw ample cargo and legroom with five seats and the 2023 version will likely continue to expand on the luxurious interior. To stay on par with the competition, the Q4 offers a virtual cockpit, which includes a screen mounted directly above the steering wheel and replaces traditional dials and gauges.

The system not only gives vehicle information and can be customized by the driver, but can also display navigation instructions and provide voice information. As the first model offered by Audi with additional artificial intelligence features, the virtual cockpit works in conjunction with the augmented reality display on the windshield as well as to show real-time vehicle information in the driver’s field of view.

These features and technologies along with the stylish exterior, interior LED ambient lighting and ambient lighting and comfortable seating with heating, ventilation and massage functions all add to the desirability of the Q4. Long as one of the most comfortable, luxurious and technologically advanced companies, Audi will continue this tradition with the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron, which is why we can’t wait to get it in our garage!
