company founded by Elon Musk It will primarily use electric cars from Tesla Corporation TSLA in Las Vegas, but it has now been revealed which car from another company is being used.

Here’s who got some love from Musk and Boring Company.

what happened: A user on Reddit discovered that a non-Tesla vehicle is being added to the fleet of vehicles owned by The Boring Company for its Las Vegas operations. The statement revealed by user u/komocode and reported by Teslarati showed that Boring has 70 Tesla vehicles in its fleet and an ADA GEM e6. This electric car is made by Waev, the company that was formed then Polaris company Personally Identifiable Information It sold the GEM division to five former Polaris employees in December 2021.

Reddit users have reported seeing a GEM e6 being used by The Boring Company in the Las Vegas tunnel and that it is being used for people with disabilities. Permit records indicate that the vehicle has a ramp system to make it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Why is it important: Although it is only one vehicle, the use of a GEM vehicle may show some validation with the support of Musk and The Boring Company. The use could also indicate that Tesla may need to explore more options for people with disabilities as it increases in size and provides underground tunnels in other parts of the world.

Boring increased the number of vehicles it owned earlier this year as it provided transportation during the CES 2022 event. Reports indicate that Boring’s LVCC Loop was carrying 15,000 to 17,000 passengers per day.

The Boring Company plans to use Tesla cars with a focus on soon-to-be autonomous driving capabilities. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has previously signed a $6.25 million agreement with The Boring Company and has a strong sense of future self-driving vehicles.

CEO of LVCVA Steve Hill He said last month that The Boring Company’s used cars in Las Vegas will be autonomous in the near future.

“We said at a board meeting a month or two ago that our goal was, by the end of this fiscal year, to have some degree of autonomy in the system,” Hill said.

Musk expects Tesla to reach full autonomous driving by the end of 2022.
