Audi It is an automobile manufacturer that has made a lot of great models over the years. That’s before we get to the powerful RS models from Audi Sport. Regardless, the car in its current range that we are excited about is the A3 Sportback. The small hatchback first appeared in 1996 and since then it has become very popular all over the world and is now in its fourth generation.

The A3 Sportback, in its standard form or sporty silhouette like the S3 and RS3 models, is one of the best modern-day hatchbacks money can buy. The A3 range appeals to many types of people, which is why it flies from the showroom floors.

The Audi A3 Sportback in its standard appearance is a good-looking hatchback. While there are many luxury or luxury hatchbacks on the market, they seem to fall short of the Audi A3. Here’s why.

May 2022 update: This article has been updated with more information about the Audi A3 Sportback.

The Audi A3 stands out from the crowd

The Audi A3 Sportback is one of the most exclusive hatchbacks on the market. When it comes to value, Audi’s latest lineup appears to offer better than the competition. Some Audis can be affordable, while others are pricey, but the bottom line is the value proposition. It is one of the reasons why they are so popular.

The A3 stands out among the rest, thanks to its sporty design and dynamic interior. The car’s sculpted appearance provides an imposing presence on the road, despite it being a compact hatchback. Bold design combined with distinctive Audi accents for other road users ensures you’re driving something cool and fun. The LED headlights are bright and look very cool, while the rear design with sharp wrinkles makes the A3 look good.

The interior is very cool and very modern. It features a huge regular touch screen with Audi MMI interface. The driver gets a digital instrument cluster that Audi calls the “virtual cockpit”. The dashboard is lined with soft-touch materials while the seats are covered in premium leather, and soft metallic accents can be found on some panels. Audis are often luxury cars, but the latest A3 takes it a step further with futuristic installations and technology. The cabin is spacious and provides an acceptable amount of comfort for a vehicle in its range.

Since it is German-made, one can guarantee that the engineers thought carefully about everything when developing the A3. The Audi A3 Sportback offers high precision and driving pleasure. It’s also versatile for a vehicle designed to be budget friendly.

The Audi A3 has something for everyone

The A3 Sportback may only be a hatchback, but Audi is also offering this car as a sedan. Additionally, it comes with different powertrain options that not only include petrol and diesel engines, but there are hybrids, mild hybrids, and even an engine running on CNG options.

There may be a frugal 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine for the A3. But the most popular engine is the 1.5-liter TFSI petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Audi claims that this version will do 0 to 62 mph in 8.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 140 mph. The seven-speed, dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox ensures the driver is in the right gear at the right time, so you never expect to accelerate when you hit the gas pedal.

A3 is very practical

Most hatchbacks look to offer a compact package, with front passengers largely in mind, providing an acceptable amount of luggage space in the trunk. Audi hasn’t compromised much with the A3 offering 13.4 cubic feet of boot, while the rear seats still offer adequate passenger space, even for long trips.

All of this was assembled into a vehicle with dimensions of 14.2 feet long, 6 feet wide and 4.8 feet long. This is some serious packaging and engineering.

A3 is inherently a hot slot

Hot hatchbacks are something everyone loves. The idea of ‚Äč‚Äčturning a daily fast ride into a performance car started a revolution, and since then we have countless examples of great hot hatches on the market. In standard form, the A3 is modestly powerful with 150 horsepower on tap. However, the S3 adds some mechanical updates to the car, along with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

If that’s not enough, there’s a more aggressive RS3 model. This comes with a unique 2.5 liter, 5 cylinder turbocharged engine with 400 HP! It’s stiffer, nimble, and much faster than the standard A3 model. Some even claim that thanks to its all-wheel drive system and impressive driving dynamics, it is the spiritual successor to the iconic Audi Quattro that was a special homologation model designed to allow Audi to move into rallying and then dominate the Group B class.

While the hot hatch is one of the most accessible performance cars that money can buy, people can use it daily on the road. However, the US market is often not a big fan of it. In North America and the US in particular, Audi only offers the A3, S3 and RS3 models in the form of their sedans. The base version of the A3 sedan starts at $34,800. Set this one to the extreme, and you’ll be parted with over $44,000. The S3 sedan starts at $45,000 for the base version and goes up to $52,400 with all the bells and whistles.

The Aud A3 range as a whole provides a practical means for a small family. But it also manages to excite the driver, no matter what model they are driving. The Mercedes-Benz equivalent may offer best-in-class comfort, while the BMW places greater emphasis on the driving experience. However, it is Audi that manages to offer a balance between the two. It is an excellent multi-level hatchback. While the A3 Sportback is a US-banned fruit, the sedan does it all, too.
