Settling Some Spring Results – GTPlanet

With the sun rising and the rain clouds dispersed, spring has begun a whole new season in Forza Horizon 4. Series 51 is about to end this week, and everyone is rushing to finish their playlists and collect their rewards.

It’s a combination of everything this week, plus a final batch of awards waiting to be claimed to complete Spring’s playlist to 50% and 80% in order to finish another series.

There is only one car with the running list completion awards: the 2017 Alpine A110.

The first car made by Renault to bring back the prestigious Alpine brand pays homage to the origin of the 1960s with the introduction of modern technology. There are a few changes that distinguish the new A110 from the old, with the main difference being the switch to a mid-engine layout instead of a rear-engine.

The turbocharged 1.8-liter engine comes from the Megane RS, but here it produces 248 horsepower. Although the power may seem weak, Alpine engineers worked extensively to reduce the weight. The vast majority of the body and chassis are aluminum, which means the A110 weighs just a little over 2,400 pounds. Add 248 horsepower to the mix and you’ve got a car capable of worrying the dominant Porsche Cayman.

A new Horizon Backstage Pass is available if you need to get any cars quickly before the series ends.

Visit Broadway for the ultimate photo challenge from Series 51. #MillingAround wants you to grab your current car at the famous Broadway Mill. You can also add some drama by jumping off the danger sign across the windmill. The championship awards are a mix of off-road and high-performance street professionals including the 2011 Ford F150 Raptor and Holden Commodore Group A.

The best car award is the 1995 Ferrari F50. This supercar is often forgotten in Ferrari’s stable, as many consider it a visual step back over the F40 that replaced it.

Ferrari initially intended the F50 to be a “Formula 1 road car”, including having a 3.5-liter V12 engine that gave the firepower. Unfortunately, issues with making the engine compatible in a road car caused the V12 to grow to 4.7 liters and produce 513 horsepower. Although the F50 was the world’s fastest landing when it was launched, it was eventually outclassed by its competitors.

If you want to have an F50 in your garage, you’ll need to win the “Back to the ’90s” championship.

Round out the series’ racing action with another Showcase Remix. “Taxi for Takeoff” puts you behind the wheel of Isha’s Austin taxi to a duel against a Deltawing to the festival site.

You can add another set of Super7 cards to your balance from completed events this week. Finish all seven and you can add this disco chicken suit to your avatar wardrobe.

Forzathon Store

Unicorns took control of the store this week, and their 1953 Maserati A6GCS/53 towed.

This beautiful machine with a rear body almost never happened, due to Ferrari signing an exclusive contract with Pininfarina. The Maserati dealer had to commission Pininfarina to build the hardtop body of the existing A6GCS and create one of the most beautiful cars ever built. With only six units ever built, the rarity is also on the Maserati side.

Designed for sports car racing, the A6GCS features a 2.0-liter straight-line engine, making 170 horsepower. In a car under 2,000 pounds, it’ll prove to be a lively bunch through corners.

You don’t need to pay a lot to buy a Maserati for just 150 Forzathon points, plus you’ll save a bunch of credits on buying one at the auto show.

Another rare beast that can be considered art is the 2010 Aston Martin One 77.

The flagship Hyper-GT ditches the soft curves for more aggressive chops and intakes in an effort to distance itself from being just a pretty face. Beneath that carbon-fiber skin and aluminum chassis is a 7.3-liter V12 with 750 horsepower. At the time, it was also the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the world and would propel the One-77 to a top speed of 220 mph. With 77 units built, it also remains one of the most unique Astons ever.

Surprisingly, the One-77 is also cheap at 150 FP, and will prove to be an eye-catcher wherever you go across the UK.

This week’s outfits are Pink Top Hat and the Blue Biker T Pants
