ONEIDA — The Oneida Community Mansion House will host its inaugural classic car show on May 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to an announcement by event organizers.
The Sherrill-Kenwood Classic Car Club will feature 22 different judged classes in categories such as: Model Ts, Corvettes, Volkswagens, Tractors, and more. “We are really excited to host this show and show off the beautiful gardens, grounds, and picturesque landscape of the Mansion House,” Thomas A. Guiler, Director of Museum Affairs said. “When we got together last Fall and thought about our Spring programming, we just took a look out the window and started imagining how amazing classic cars would look all lined up on the lawn. It is a great way to introduce a whole new audience to the wonders of the Mansion House. We hope people will enjoy learning about the Oneida Community as much as they like checking out some amazing autos.”
But the event will not just be for automobile enthusiasts. The Mansion House will be running house tours in addition to specialty offerings like architecture tours to show guests all the Mansion House has to offer.
In addition, the Mansion House is partnering with local food trucks, DJs, and other vendors to make it a fun day for all attendees. The show will run from 9 am to 4 pm and is free for attendees. However, those interested in showing their car and registering it for an award, there is a $10 fee until May 7, and a $15 day-of-the-show fee.
