NBA Star Shaquille O’Neal Offers a 33-Story Apartment in Newark, USA Worth $190 Million, Nice to See

Shaquille O’Neal is in the news for all the right reasons. He is building a 33-storey apartment in Newark, USA, called “777 McCarter” to provide accommodation for people in the neighborhood.

The building will consist of 370 studio apartments, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, of which 20% of the units will be allocated as affordable units, which has been mandated by the city. These units will be allocated to families who earn up to 50% of the median income in the area.

The idea is to rent out the remaining units at the standard market rate, which is estimated to be between $2,000 and $3,000 per month, depending on the number of bedrooms.

The coronation ceremony for the 777 McCarter Building meant that the basic structure of the building was completed up to the 33rd floor. However, construction is expected to take another ten months before tenants begin moving in the following year.

Shaquille O’Neal may have masterminded the project, but it was funded by Goldman Sachs, CitiBank and Prudential Financial.

This wouldn’t be the first time Shaquille O’Nealhase has done something amazing. In 2019, he partnered with a real estate company to build a $80 million luxury apartment building with 22 floors.
