US National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued recalls from May 5-12, including a Mercedes-Benz recall of 292,287 units and a Hyundai recall of 215,171 units.
Mercedes has gone so far as to issue a “no drive” order for SUVs made between 2006 and 2012, urging owners to tow their vehicles to the nearest dealer due to an issue with the potential build-up of moisture and corrosion in the unit’s brake-booster housing, which can hamper brake performance and cause in a possible malfunction.

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain ML-Class, GL-Class and R-Class vehicles. Please refer to the MBUSA recall report for specific vehicle model details. Moisture can build up and cause wear to the brake booster housing unit, which can lead to decreased brake performance or brake failure. 292,287 units affected. Read more
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling some Freightliner Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles for the 2019-2021 year. The rear view camera may not display the rear view image due to a software error. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Vehicle Safety Standard 111, “Rear View”. 12,086 units are affected. Read more

Tesla, Inc. is recalling. (Tesla) Certain 2021-2022 Model S, Model X, 2022 Model 3, and Model Y vehicles running certain firmware versions. The CPU may overheat during preparation or the fast charging process, causing the CPU to lag or restart. 129,960 units affected. Read more
Toyota
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling some 2022 Tundras equipped with the Panoramic View Monitoring (PVM) system. The ECU software may prevent the rear view camera signal from being transmitted during cold weather, preventing the rear view image from being displayed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Vehicle Safety Standard 111, “Rear View”. 18,101 units are affected. Read more

Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling some 2021-2022 XC40 BEVs. Water may get into the cable strand, corroding the throttle sensor (APS) circuit. 5,351 units are affected. Read more
