Manufacturers these days are crazy about achieving a lot with a variety of vehicles for all types of consumers. From sedans to SUVs to off-road machines, the delight of consumer loyalty is at an all-time high.
For Land Rover, this is the status quo. At Grasso’s Garage this week, it’s the 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 First Edition. Although it is last year’s model, the experience of the first version was really fun. This Defender two-door version is built for just about everything, although off-road is where the excitement begins.
Keep in mind that Land Roar and its British-like manufacturing culture were built for the ‘great outdoors’.
Land Rover’s consumer cult is enjoying the high-end SUV market with the realization that it’s not exactly the most reliable, but it certainly looks absolutely stunning. Since reliability remains our top priority, we are directly focusing on its strategic efforts to improve consumer satisfaction.
Powerful six-cylinder engine 395 hp with 406 lb-ft. of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, making sure to top the enjoyment list. The rugged Defender 90 is just that, durable and defends your Land Rover board perfectly.
While our Defender 90 first edition is very basic and brings no frills, the basic entry level model really shows what Land Rover has to offer. Fabric seats, front-row jumper seat, 10-inch infotainment system with touchscreen and navigation, SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also standard was the ‘ragtop’ fabric folding roof which was a nice feature we enjoyed. The seats were comfortable and had plenty of legroom in the rear as well as the front seats.
On the outside, the Defender 90 is boxy, off-road, durable and cool. It has a great ride height, and is well designed and well-built.
“The Land Rover Defender 90 is the latest and most capable off-road SUV from the British luxury brand,” said Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars.com. “Launched with exceptional off-road specifications and technical features and just upgraded with a supercharged V8 engine. The added power goes hand in hand with more confident on-road dynamics, but doesn’t compromise the Defender’s off-road prowess, creating one of the most capable and attractive SUVs in the world. market.
For the Land Rover, it’s all about off-road use, while maintaining a state of luxury. The Defender 90 is no ordinary Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco. Despite its similarity to boxy style and off-road use, the Defender 90 truly is a great vehicle for Grasso’s Garage fleet.
