Inside a gorgeous Midway Church apartment for sale with original decor and stained glass windows

When trying to find the perfect home, many will have specific requirements and criteria that must be met. This may include the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the location and of course the price.

However, with these preferences in mind, it could mean that you miss out on some of the more exotic properties for sale. Rightmove has a large number of homes listed on its website – and even if you’re not currently looking for property to buy or rent, it can be fun to scroll and see what’s available.

KentLive searched Rightmove’s listings and discovered a two-bedroom apartment in the village of Brompton, Medway, which is on the market for £275,000. If the price doesn’t already catch your eye, just wait until you find out what the building looked like – or more impressively, what it used to be.

The property was actually a converted former church school. It has a kitchen, bathroom, loft space, parking, lounge and common grounds. The building is simply stunning and has a number of great features.

However, what really gives this apartment even more character is the original, decadent décor inside. Described as “prestigious,” the Conway Mews property boasts “beautiful high ceilings, splendid windows, all of great architectural style.”

The property is simply amazing

The listing adds that it is “truly a building steeped in spiritual history.” It is located across the road from woodland areas and less than a mile from Chatham station.

While some people may not want to live in a former church school building, let’s take a look around to see what the place looks like from the inside. The decor is luxurious and rich, and makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time.

There are great features, including tapestry in one of the bedrooms, and “simply divine” stained glass windows. It makes an incredible feature in your home.

The color scheme in this room is rather unusual

The color scheme is a bit unfamiliar in some rooms, with one room featuring a lime green wall. There are patterned rugs and fluffy rugs throughout, gorgeous wood cabinets, a clean and tidy kitchen space, and one-of-a-kind lighting fixtures.

The lounge area is most impressive, with swords mounted behind a shield on the wall. There is a comfortable leather sofa, a carpet with intricate details and stained glass windows, as mentioned.

Colorful red curtains fall beautifully on the sides of the windows, which have red, green and yellow spots – the glass looks almost bejeweled. And, contrary to what you might think, the interior appears light and airy.

The most impressive room in the apartment

The high ceilings contribute to the feeling of spaciousness throughout and also allow for some great artwork to be displayed. The building is something to see and is very unique. It’s rare to find something like this, at this price, on the market these days.

It may not be for everyone, but you can’t deny that it’s a wonderful property of immense character and charm. The building, which is listed on Rightmove by Hunters, is up for sale at £275,000. See more here.
