Here’s what we love about the handy cabin of the Volvo XC90 in 2021

Volvo recognized early on that the family SUV market would be a lucrative one. The Swedish car manufacturer spotted the market gap back in the early 2000s and has been taking advantage of it ever since.

The Volvo XC90 has been the industry standard since it was introduced in 2002, and it remains one of the best SUVs available. It’s fair to say that with so many great reviews, the XC90 is one of Sweden’s most popular exports.

Along with the likes of IKEA, Meatballs, ABBA and Spotify, Volvo attracts buyers and fans from all over the world. As you might expect from something designed in Sweden, the XC90 is as stylish and elegant as any SUV on the road.

We’re putting the 2021 Volvo XC90 under the microscope to see what the best feature of this industry-leading SUV is.

The XC90 has some great features

The Volvo XC90 is a three-row mid-size SUV with options for six or seven people. As many Volvo readers might expect, the XC90 comes with plenty of safety features. Many of these features have been added as standard for the 2021 release.

Just some of the safety features include adaptive cruise control and steering assist for cruise control, lane assist, blind spot warning, and driver monitoring. There’s also a 360-degree camera system to get the XC90 out of a tight spot without hitting anything.

Practical for all events, this mid-size SUV offers 15.8 cubic feet of luggage space behind the third row. The third-row seats fold more easily to increase cargo space to 41.8 cubic feet.

Volvo took care of passengers from the front row to the third row, which is why there are air vents for all three rows. Even second-row passengers get their own climate control options, something every modern car needs, which are USB ports. The 2021 Volvo XC90 comes in three different trim levels. Primary momentum, sporty R design and premium engraving.

An easy-to-use cabin is the best feature of the 2021 Volvo XC90

It’s not just on the outside that the 2021 XC90 is a beautifully designed SUV. The interior is well thought out from the back to the front, with the main feature being the driver’s cabin.

This Volvo’s cabin has been designed in a minimalist style with few distractions to keep your attention on the road. However, when you take a moment to look around the cabin, it’s clearly a thing of beauty. Let’s start with the real wood panels which add an elegant contrast to the rest of the interior.

Cars often throw in some wood-effect panels to look stylish but don’t use the real thing. The 2021 Volvo XC90 uses real wood paneling that is as solid as it looks.

Thanks to the optional panoramic sunroof, the cabin is fully lit for everyone inside to appreciate. However, with a large amount of privacy glass, you don’t have to worry about them getting spotted in the back.

There is a 12-inch digital speed dial display behind the steering wheel with a map feature to guide you along the road without intrusion. The infotainment system allows drivers to take full control of the vehicle’s functions with the push of a button. It will also be connected to a smartphone and change driving modes if necessary.

Comfort is king and the sporty leather seats in the XC90 are comfortable without being too stiff, which is a must on long journeys. With a heated steering wheel and heated seats, you may find yourself wanting to stay in the XC90 long after your ride is over.

It’s easy to enjoy silence or access the latest podcasts while driving the XC90 thanks to minimal cabin noise. Add some responsive steering and suspension that eats bumps for fun as you look at one of our most comfortable SUVs. For some extra excitement, Dynamic Mode can react to the movements of the XC90 much faster than you might expect from a three-row SUV.
