FIAT partners with Garmin to create new special edition Panda & Tipo models!

Earlier today, FIAT pulled the covers of the latest Special Edition models of its popular Panda and Tipo boards. Created in partnership with renowned satellite technology developer Garmin, the all-new Special Edition Garmin looks to build on the success of the widely popular Cross trim brand. The cross cut level was a top seller for both nameplates with 1 in 4 pandas and 1 in 2 tepus sold, being a cross model.

The Garmin Panda Special Edition is available in Foresta Green, White, Gray Metallic, or Black, and is distinguished by some orange elements such as the stripe above the side moldings, “Panda” text on the matte black 15-inch wheels, and a “Garmin” badge on the B-pillar , and even a new matte light gray paint job created for the sliding panels, mirror caps and side moldings.

The Panda Garmin customer is looking for an urban style with a strong personality. So it comes with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), fog lights, and a set of black roof bars.

Inside, there’s an interior color scheme defined with orange details, such as seat stitching on black cloth upholstery. Standard equipment features include automatic air conditioning, a 7-inch Uconnect touch screen with Bluetooth®, Apple Carplay and Android AutoTM Compatibility, steering wheel audio controls.

Under the hood is a 70-horsepower naturally aspirated 1.0-liter GSE-T3 3-cylinder engine with 12-volt mild-hybrid generator.

Available in Foresta Green, Gelato White, Colosseo Grey, Maestro Gray and Cinema Black, the Garmin Tipo is also distinguished by orange elements – such as the stripe on the side, the triangle in the grille grille and the “Garmin” badge on the B-pillar. The car also features detailing In matte black including door handles, roof rails and pillars. The result is a powerful blend of bold colours, which is further enhanced by the new Matte Light Gray paintwork on the mirror caps, skid plates, front grille inserts, fog lamp surrounds, side skirts, front and rear bumpers.

An exclusive set of 17-inch black-painted aluminum wheels with orange elements, front and rear LED lights is also equipped.

The interior mirrors the exterior with orange detailing on the seats. The driver can use the new 7-inch fully configurable Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) digital package, which allows one to control the vehicle’s condition, multimedia information and one’s phone. The new Tipo Garmin offers a wide range of the latest generation of Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which make driving easier and prevent potential hazards. These features include Attention Assistant, which detects the first signs of driver fatigue, and sends an audible and visual warning to the instrument panel; recognition of the traffic sign, which determines the maximum permissible speed on the road on which the vehicle is traveling; Intelligent Speed ​​Assistant, which suggests to the driver to set the speed limit; and lane control, which keeps the vehicle in the lane as long as lane markings can be properly detected.

Available in hatchback or station wagon configurations, the Garmin Tipo Special Edition can be equipped with three engines: a 1.0-liter GSE-T3 turbocharged engine, and a 130-horsepower 1.6-liter multi-cylinder turbocharged engine.
