Fiat attracts Dolcevita Special Edition with 500 and 500X light hybrids

Fiat has launched another special edition of the remaining 500 ICE-powered range called Dolcevita. If you’re using a deja-vu, that’s because the 500 Dolcevita launched in 2019, followed by the 500X Cabrio Dolcevita in 2021. However, for 2022, the models are updated with a mild hybrid powertrain and slightly different color combinations for a fresh look. a look. Fiat was going for an open-air test drive, so the new Dolcevita Special Editions are combined exclusively with soft-top bodies.

Starting with the 500X, it was fitted with the new mild hybrid powertrain that was introduced to the range earlier this year. Thus, it combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 128 hp (96 kW / 130 hp) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque with a 48V BSG electric motor adding an additional 20 hp (15 kW / 20 lb-ft). PS) and 41 lb-ft (55 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the front axle via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Visually, the Dolcevita gets a tastefully combined Gelato White exterior with an ivory soft-recliner cover, 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome/satin accents and a Dolcevita logo on the front fenders. Inside, there are ivory soft-touch seats with a white 500 logo and a body-color instrument panel. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system, navigation, a rearview camera, automatic headlights, and power wipers.

Moving on to the old 500, Dolcevita is trying to add some spice to the mix for those who aren’t ready to step into the fully electric world with the new 500 EV. Under the hood is a 1.0-liter FireFly three-cylinder engine producing 69 hp (51.5 kW/70 hp) and 68 lb-ft (92 Nm) of torque, electrified since 2020 with the addition of a 12-volt BSG engine and lithium-ion battery small.

The Dolcevita is only available in a 500 Cabrio body that features Gelato White paint, a beige smooth surface, 16-inch black diamond-cut aluminum-alloy wheels and chrome mirror caps. The interior has been upgraded with ivory seats upholstered in Frau leather, a light wood dashboard look, leather gear knob and white trim on the floats.

Fiat has not revealed pricing for the models, but they are expected to be slightly higher than the standard mild hybrid variants.
