“This one quote always comes to mind when I think of pink—”If pink is a gesture, it’s a hug,” says Natalie Tredgett, founder of Natalie Tredgett Design. (Opens in a new tab). There was a psychological study that was done where the color pink was used in an environment where people are usually a little noisy, but the color calms them down and makes them calmer. It is a great color and when used in pastel colors, it can change the mood of the bedroom.
“Unfortunately, people have some stereotypes about pink,” says Natalie. They pair her with a young man who usually tends to be female. Sometimes it is not always easy to convince an adult to live in a pink room because it seems childish to them. In this case, the colors I would suggest are pale blue and green, but in their own pastel colors.
Aside from its mood-enhancing abilities, pink is a versatile color for the modern bedroom that also goes well with most skin tones, making it a great choice in bedrooms. If you’re not sure about pastel colors, maybe choose one with a touch of brown, which makes it less pastel and more neutral. It can be easily paired with wooden details, evoking a cocoon scheme.
2. Blue

If you think about it, blue is a universally loved color, probably because it is available in so many tones. Think deep blue, azure, aqua, royal or grainy blue, and then there’s the whole wide world of blue in different undertones. There is blue for everyone.
