Cops stop a U-Haul truck with an Isuzu Rodeo suspended outside the cargo box

  • The Washington State Patrol stopped a U-Haul towing an Isuzu Rodeo.
  • However, this rodeo was being pulled rather than dropped.
  • According to radio station KXLY, the driver was fined and his license suspended.

The Washington State Patrol parked a U-Haul truck with a first-generation Isuzu Rodeo hanging from the rear, with Trooper John Bryant posting a photo of his teammate’s hunting on Twitter.

Radio station KXLY in Spokane, Washington reported that the driver of the truck, which was towed just north of the Okanogan, received a $139 fine for “failing to secure his cargo with safety chains.” In addition, it was reported that her driver’s license had been suspended, and both U-Haul – allegedly overdue – and a Rodeo in its cargo hold.

Despite the real safety concerns of this setup, we can’t help but sympathize a little with the culprit. If you ask us, U-Haul is just a racket. The company claims you can rent its trucks for “as low as $19.95” — with an emphasis on “as low as” — but we’ve never managed to spend so little on one of its vehicles.

While you can technically rent a U-Haul for that amount, you’d better not plan on going anywhere in it, as this is when the mileage fee kicks in. And at this point, you can also buy insurance too, because who knows what other fees U-Haul is hiding? It’s best to avoid the risk of paying exorbitant fees for something as small as a cracked headlight or small scrapes on the rearview mirror covers.

Do you need a doll? Or a trailer to tow your personal vehicle? Oh, U-Haul will help you. . . for the price. Suddenly, that $19.95 rent is creeping toward (or above) the $100 mark.

While we certainly don’t condone this individual’s career, we do have to give credit to this driver for the lengths they’ve gone to avoid paying the U-Haul truck fee. And Trailer – Time to take a stand against U-Haul Vercacti price models. Sadly, because that poor schmo learned the hard way that sometimes you stick a guy, other times your guy sticks with you.
