BMW X5 (facelift) will debut worldwide in April 2023

German automaker BMW is said to be working on an improved version of the X5 SUV. It will break cover in global markets in April next year.

As for the features, the car will have a renewed design and an upgraded cabin with a host of new features.

It will be offered with a choice of new and updated turbocharged engines.

Why is this story important?

  • The BMW X5 was introduced in 2018 and has sold over two lakh units worldwide. By giving it a facelift, the brand wants to increase the car’s appeal in the market.
  • The new version of the car is expected to offer better looks, features and performance. When it arrives in India, the competition in the luxury SUV segment is sure to be raised.

The car will have stylish headlights and roof rails

The BMW X5 2023 is expected to have a sculpted hood, wider kidney grille, sleeker, taller headlights with DRLs, and large air vents.

On the sides, it’ll be flanked by roof rails, black B-pillars, ORVMs, and designer alloy wheels.

A shark fin antenna, window wiper, and LED taillights wrap around the rear end of the four-wheeler.

Three engine options will be available

The upcoming BMW X5 will be equipped with the S68, twin-turbocharged, V8 with mild hybrid technology that is supposed to provide around 535 hp of power and an upgraded 370 hp, turbocharged B58 engine. An updated B57 unit, inline-six, turbo-diesel will also be offered.

The SUV will get a head-up display and a sunroof

The new BMW X5 should have a luxurious five-seater cabin, featuring automatic climate control, a head-up display, parking sensors, a sunroof, and a multifunction electric steering wheel with cruise control.

It will pack a touchscreen infotainment console with Apple CarPlay support.

Passenger safety will be ensured by six airbags, ABS, traction control, cornering control and a rear-view camera.

2023 BMW X5: Pricing and Availability

Pricing and availability details for the BMW X5 Enhanced will be revealed in India at the time of its launch. However, you must carry a premium on the outgoing form, which starts from Rs. 76.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
