The clean sheet was definitely a positive aspect of the Chelsea game. They weren’t as strong in the final third as would be expected from a higher team like theirs.
However, there were some good performances on the part of Thomas Tuchel. One of the players who has received praise from Blues followers is new player Kalidou Koulibaly.
The summer signing looked confident and confident on his debut and forged a good partnership with the rear guard, especially with Thiago Silva. He took calculated risks while defending in his penalty area and wasn’t afraid to step in and put his body to the test.
He made two tackles and three interceptions, winning three of his five aerial duels, and four of his five ground duels.
The former Napoli defender had to be replaced in the 75th minute, but he made a hugely impactful turnaround. It will take a few matches for Chelsea’s new defensive rocks to get used to the intensity of the Premier League. However, it is only a matter of time before it goes smoothly through the 90 minutes.

Ice Cole Jorginho helps Chelsea win at Goodison Park after five years
Visiting Everton in the recent past has been a very difficult task for the West London club. They have lost all four of their previous matches at Goodison Park. Thus, there was little tension around the team’s entry into the match. However, one man had ice running in his veins and it made such a difference.
Jorginho took the lead in the last minutes of the first half with a penalty kick to defeat Jordan Pickford. Ben Chilwell received the penalty kick after Abdallah Doukur fouled in the penalty area.
This was Chelsea’s penalty shootout expert’s 20th goal in the Premier League, including 18 goals from a penalty kick. They couldn’t double their superiority but they managed to stop the opponent from scoring as well.
Losing in the first game would be the least of Frank Lampard’s worries. Both of his key players, Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey, both suffered injuries and had to be replaced. Godfrey is particularly expected to be out for longer as he had to stretch his muscles in the 18th minute.
