Best Selling Cars in Pakistan – April 2022

Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has revealed its monthly sales data for April 2022. Hence, we have compiled a list Top 10 best selling cars in Pakistan During the month of April 2022. According to the data, the auto industry sold a total of 22,370 vehicles in the last month.

This is a significant decrease compared to 27,131 sales for the month of March, which means that there was an 18% decrease in the number of cars sold. It is worth noting that it is expected to get worse as auto makers continue to raise the prices of their cars due to the continued depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar (USD to PKR).

It should be noted that non-PAMA members such as Changan, Morris Garages (MG), United Motors, etc. do not disclose their sales data, therefore, they are not included in the sales data provided by PAMA and we do not include them in the top 10 best selling cars in the Pakistan during the month of April 2022.

1. Suzuki Alto

Suzuki Alto tops the list of best-selling cars in Pakistan during April 2022 due to its affordability and reliability in the entry market. The Suzuki Alto sold 5,009 units in April compared to 9,814 units sold in March, which means total vehicle sales are down 49%.

Suzuki Alto price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 1,475,000 and it goes all the way up to Rs. 1,951,000 for its sophisticated look.

2. Suzuki Caltus

Suzuki Caltus is the only car on this list that sold more cars in April than in March. According to the data, Suzuki Cultus managed to sell 1,745 units in April compared to only 306 units in March, an increase of 470%. However, it should be noted that car reservations were also suspended during March by the company, which means a lower sales figure for the month.

Suzuki Caltus price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 2,330,000 and amounts to Rs. 2,762,000 for the highest variant.

3. Suzuki Wagon R

Suzuki Wagon R ranked third in the list of top 10 best selling cars in Pakistan during April 2022. According to the data, the car sold 1,823 units in April compared to 2,014 units in March, which is a 13% decrease in total sales.

The price of the Suzuki Wagon R in Pakistan starts at 2,084,000 and goes up to Rs. 2,399,000 for its best variant.

4. Suzuki Bulan

Suzuki Bulan also saw a huge drop in sales during the month of April compared to March as the car was able to sell only 860 units compared to 1,295 during the previous month. This means that total Suzuki Bulan sales fell 13% in April compared to March.

Suzuki Bulan price in Pakistan Rs. 1,315,000 for its base model, while the better alternative costs Rs. 1,415,000.

5. Suzuki Swift

The newly launched Suzuki Swift sold 2,273 units in April 2022, placing the car at the 5th position on the list of best selling cars in Pakistan during the month of April 2022. There is no previous data on the sale of the new Suzuki Swift. It has also just been launched in the country.

The price of Suzuki Swift in Pakistan starts at 2,774,000, while the best-of-its-kind variant sells for Rs. 3,298,000.

6. Toyota Corolla and Yaris

Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) best-selling vehicles are undoubtedly the Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris, which managed to sell 4,117 units in April. However, this is still a significant decrease from the 5,395 units sold in March, which means a 24% drop in total sales.

Toyota Yaris price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 3,039,000 and it goes all the way up to Rs. 3,659,000, while the Toyota Corolla’s price starts at Rs. 3,909,000 and amounts to Rs. 4,899,000.

7. Toyota Fortuner and Hilux

Toyota also ranked next on the list with Toyota Fortuner and Hilux with total sales of 1,658 units in April compared to 1,673 units sold in March. These vehicles did not suffer a significant loss in sales compared to the other vehicles with a difference of only 1% between the two months.

Toyota Fortuner price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 9,959,000 for the base variant, while the top-of-the-line variant is being sold for Rs. 12,679,000. Similarly, the price of Toyota Hilux in Pakistan is Rs. 7,359,000 for the base variant with the best variant selling for Rs. 9729,000.

8. Honda Civic and City

Honda managed to reach the eighth place in the list of the top 10 best-selling cars in Pakistan during the month of April 2022. The company was able to sell 2,265 units of these two cars in April compared to 3,278 units sold in March, meaning that there is a 31% decrease in the total the sales.

Honda City price in Pakistan is Rs. 3,264,000 for the base variant and goes up to Rs. 3899000 for the best variant. Meanwhile, the Honda Civic price in Pakistan is Rs. 5,549,000 for the base model while the top model sells for Rs. 6649,000.

9. Honda BR-V

The Honda BR-V was able to sell 364 units in April compared to 373 units in March, which represents a 2% decrease in total sales. Honda BR-V has only one variant at a price in Pakistan of Rs. 4249000.

10. Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai Tucson ranked 10th in the list of top 10 best selling cars in Pakistan during the month of April 2022. According to the data, the car managed to sell 553 units in April compared to 576 units in March, which means that it witnessed sales. A decrease in total sales of 4%.

Hyundai Tucson price in Pakistan is Rs. 5,799,000 for the base model, while the top-of-the-line model sells for Rs. 6299000.
