If you are looking for an SUV that offers plenty of space, comfort and technology, the 2022 Porsche Macan will not disappoint. Here’s an in-depth review of the Porsche Macan to help you decide if it’s reliable and worth your investment.
Since Porsche entered the SUV market with a mid-size Cayenne, customers have always wanted a more spacious version. The all-new 2022 Porsche Macan delivers just that while staying true to the brand’s sporting spirit. The new 2022 Macan is a powerful car that offers more space for people and cargo than sports cars.
A Porsche Macan review found that the car strikes a great balance between power and practicality. The standard model comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but you can upgrade to a V-6 on higher models.
Handling Porsches has never been an issue, and the new Macan never disappoints. It provides a smooth ride that packs in every once in a while if you need it. It stands out among the competition because it puts driver satisfaction front and center rather than luxury like the BMW X3. While the BMW is more luxurious, the Porsche Macan 2022 is more fun to drive. It wins over us and quickly becomes one of our favorite crossovers.
Porsche Macan review: what’s new?
Porsche has made several changes to the overall look and feel of the 2023 iteration of the new Macan. Adaptive suspension technology and the Porsche Sports Chrono package are first and foremost.
We found a very capable 261-horsepower engine during our Porsche Macan review. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine has the power to keep you interested as a driver. The all-wheel drive system makes driving smooth regardless of the terrain.
If you’re interested in the more powerful version, the V-6 in the top model provides a big performance bump for the Porsche Macan.
A giant 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage in the new model’s interior design. We also liked the 10-speaker audio system in our review of the Porsche Macan. If you’re ready to spend more, you can customize the interior with heated seats, adaptive LED headlights, and an impressive 14-speaker system.
Is Porsche Macan Reliable?
The more powerful V-6 version of the car can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. While an SUV may not be needed, as a driver, you will appreciate the power of the engine. While speed is a key feature of any crossover, it’s not the everything and the end of everything in a practical SUV. Unlike a car that was just built for raw power, this Porsche Macan review found the car treads nicely in the line between power and practicality. The car is very smooth to handle and very stable on the road. Steering is also tactile and soft. Although it’s not as light as a sports car, we’ll take what we can get.
Is it worth buying a Porsche Macan?
The base model’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a decent mileage of 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. The more powerful S and GTS versions, on the other hand, score slightly lower numbers — 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.
If you are looking for comfort and luxury, the new 2022 Porsche Macan will not disappoint. The interior of a luxury Porsche Maca Coupe – what you’d expect from a Porsche. However, if you want the dashboard and doors covered in handcrafted leather, you’ll have to pay an extra $2230.
But we were disappointed with the cargo hold. If you’re looking for an SUV with plenty of storage space, the new 2022 Macan isn’t an ideal candidate. It has one of the smallest storage capacities in the segment.
With a base price of $81,250 and a fully-equipped version that costs $104,410, the Macan is one of the more affordable options in the luxury SUV segment.
