The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek SUV arrives with a price increase and a new special edition model. There are now six trim levels to choose from, but which model is best for customers? There is one model that offers the best value, one that is best for outdoor enthusiasts, and one that should be avoided.

How much will the Subaru Crosstrek price increase for 2023?

All trim levels for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek get a price increase of $600, including destination and delivery fees. Dealer fee increased by $50 for 2023 Crosstrek trims.

The Subaru 2023 Crosstrek comes in six trim levels for US customers. Pricing for the base version from $24,870, Premium, ($26,020), Special Edition ($27,970), Sport ($29,220), Limited ($30,720) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($38,070). Prices include destination and delivery charges ($1225).

Which trim level is the best value?

The Crosstrek Premium design is a good value for small SUV shoppers. The Crosstrek Premium comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, fog lights, an all-weather package with heated front seats, Starlink safety and security, and a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

What level of Crosstrek trim should I avoid?

The base Subaru Crosstrek trim level is attractively priced and is $1,150 less than the premium trim level. Base models come with Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system, standard EyeSight safety technology, Starlink multimedia, and 8.7 inches of ground clearance. Here’s why so few buyers buy one.

Subaru sells very few Crosstrek base trim levels for a reason. Basic rims offer only 17-inch steel wheels, and features like an electric driver’s seat, heated seats and mirrors, keyless access, and push-button start are not included.

What is the best Crosstrek for outdoor enthusiasts?

Customers with active lifestyles will want the trim level 2023 Subaru Crossstroke Sport. Like all models, the Sport comes with standard Subaru all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance. But the Sport model comes with Subaru’s new dual-function X-Mode for additional off-road capability. The Sport also comes with a larger 2.5-liter engine.

The 2.5-liter Sport engine produces 30 more horsepower than the standard 2.0-liter engine, and is a must for carrying extra gearing up a mountain pass. The 2.5L also gets better mpg of fuel on the highway.

The Crosstrek Sport also comes with StarTex waterproof upholstery not available in any other trim level. Like the Premium model, the Sport comes with a power driver’s seat, heated seats and mirrors, keyless access and push-button start.

What is the fuel mileage of Crosstrek 2023?

2.0-liter CVT models achieve EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28/33 city/highway and 30 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter 6-speed manual models are rated at 22/29 city/highway and 25 mpg combined. The 2.5-liter Boxer engine on Sport and Limited models delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27/34 city/highway and 29 mpg combined.
