2007 Spyker C8 Laviolette With 4200 Miles For Auction

Listed on the Bring a Trailer program, this stunning sports car is truly one of the six “Basic Instinct 2” versions of the car built.

Bring a Trailer is a great online auction house. Regularly, there are some cool and rare cars for sale on the site. These range from classic muscle cars to rare cars sports cars and more. This particular car is a very cool and rare sports car. It’s a 2007 Spyker C8 Laviolette with only 4,200 miles on the clock and is one of six Basic Instinct 2 Built car editions.

The car is also the only factory-delivered model with a Targa roof system. The car was first registered in New York and then in Montana before being sold on Bring a Trailer which brought it to its current seller, in February 2020.

The car is in Jet Black, as it was all Basic Instinct 2 The prints are a tribute to the car featured in the 2006 movie. Inside the car, which complements the black beautifully, is lipstick red leather upholstery. The Spyker C8 also features a canopy-shaped glass roof as well as a compact and polished aluminum entry.

The Spyker’s all-aluminium bodywork is available, and there’s also an aluminum space frame. This vehicle also features wide-spec body panels, a front splitter, xenon headlights, a scalloped front apron, and a polished rear diffuser. Scissor doors and brushed air intakes on the quarter panels are another feature. The Targa’s removable roof system was also a $16,000 option.

Inside the Spyker C8 is a red lipstick interior with a matching instrument panel, center console and door sills. Black suede accents have also been added to the seats and door panels, as well as a custom audio system. The car is equipped with a keyless entry, electric doors and air conditioning.

Audi Power sits under the hood

Under the hood of this very special car is the Audi 4.2 liter V8 engine. This engine features dual overhead camshafts and five valves per cylinder as well. The engine puts out 400 horsepower and produces 354 pound-feet of torque, all of which is sent to the rear wheels thanks to a six-speed Getrag manual transmission with a Drexler limited-slip differential.

As part of the sale, the car will also come with tools, an aluminum-clad owner’s manual, a Jasper den Dopper report, a European market steering wheel and a battery charger to name a few.
